You take your mental and physical wellbeing seriously, constantly optimizing yourself for better mental clarity, energy, and productivity so you can focus on making a difference in the world. Regulating how blue light affects you physically and mentally is a key part of this practice, and we take it just as seriously.
That’s why we offer custom prescription options in both our Day Swannies and Night Swannies lenses. Made specifically to your own prescription in our California lens lab, Custom Prescription Swannies provide the perfect solution for your vision needs.
Our custom prescription Swannies are crafted at our specialist lens lab in California. When you place an order, we assess your Rx and make the lenses accordingly. They have the same blue blocking technology as our non-prescription range, only with your own custom prescription in them.
Ordering your prescription Swannies is easy. Make sure you have a clear copy of your prescription to upload. You will also need your pupillary distance (PD) number. If your PD is not listed on your prescription, you can call your optician to ask for this information.
Single vision lenses correct one field of vision for example, distance or reading if you are near-sighted or long-sighted. Progressive lenses are a multi-focal lens that has essentially three prescriptions in the one lens, allowing you to do close up work (eg reading), middle distance work (eg computer) and distance viewing (eg driving), without having to switch between different pairs of glasses. If you aren’t sure which type you need, please check with your optician.
The segment height is the point on the glasses where the lens transitions from the reading correction to distance correction. This will be different for every frame, so you cannot use the segment height from another frame. If you have previously purchased a pair of Swannies in the same frame that you are now ordering in prescription, you can take those frames to your optician who can measure the segment height for you. If you don’t have a pair of Swannies, you have two options: you can select the ‘default segment height’ box on your order, and we will use a pre-measured standard segment height for this particular frame which works for most individuals. Your other option is to do a frame trial where we can send you a frame to have measured for a fully refundable deposit. If you’d like to do a frame trial, please email support@swanwicksleep.com to arrange.
